Call for Expressions of Interest: Learning Circles on Gendered AI Harms in the Global South

The African Hub on AI Safety, Peace and Security, in partnership with Digital Futures Lab (DFL) and the GxD Hub (an initiative by LEAD at Krea University), is inviting expressions of interest for the Learning Circles on Gendered AI Harms in the Global South, under the Global South Network for Trustworthy AI.
Running from August to October 2026, the three-session online series will bring together researchers, practitioners, and community leaders to examine gendered AI harms and co-develop a contextualised register of harms, recommendations for reporting and redress, and a draft incident reporting framework grounded in lived experiences across the Global South.
Applications are especially encouraged from grassroots and community-based organisations, as well as practitioners from underrepresented regions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Participation is free, and participants may attend one or all sessions.
Application deadline: 10 August 2026
