Melissa Omino

Dr. Melissa Omino is the Principal Investigator at the East African AI Policy Centre under the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT). The work focuses on advancing responsible and ethical AI policy in East Africa through evidence-based research, stakeholder capacity building, and collaboration with AI policy actors. The project informs policymaking, supports community engagement, and contributes practical insights for national and regional AI governance.
