Valerie Troare is the Principal Investigator of the Artificial Intelligence for Development Policy Initiative II. Building on the first phase of AI4D, which explored AI’s transformative potential and highlighted the importance of ethics, transparency, and interpretability, this initiative focuses on strengthening responsible, inclusive, and ethical AI in Francophone West Africa. Valerie’s work engages policymakers, researchers, innovators, and civil society to build capacity, guide policy, and ensure AI development aligns with human rights and equality principles.
