Asia AI4D Observatory: A policy and innovation network on responsible artificial intelligence

The Asia AI4D Observatory: A Policy and Innovation Network is a three-year initiative designed to accelerate responsible AI governance and innovation across South and Southeast Asia. With Asia accounting for over half of global AI users and projected to add nearly $1 trillion to ASEAN GDP in the next decade, this project addresses urgent risks of inequity, rights violations, and exclusion. Led by LIRNEasia, East-West Management Institute Just Jobs Network, and EngageMedia, this project leverages regional momentum and global best practices to ensure AI adoption aligns with development goals, safeguards marginalized groups, and fosters inclusive, rights-based AI ecosystems across South and Southeast Asia that prioritize gender equality and social inclusion.
