In East, West, and Southern Africa, small grants and mentorship programs are empowering data scientists, machine learning specialists, and entrepreneurs to develop responsible AI applications that are ethical, inclusive, and sustainable, ensuring AI contributes to equitable health outcomes.
Supported by the AI4D program and AI for Global Health initiative, this effort strengthens local capacity and fosters an ecosystem of innovators dedicated to improving health through AI while addressing broader development needs.
