Overview
In many low-resource settings, the gap between a disease emerging and a health system responding remains wide and the most vulnerable populations bear the heaviest cost.
AIMED addresses this directly. The project builds a mobile, cloud-based platform that applies AI and big data analytics to strengthen early detection, prediction, and response to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Through AI-enabled modelling and mHealth tools, it equips health systems with the early warning capabilities needed to act before outbreaks escalate.
The platform is designed for real-world health infrastructure, not ideal conditions. By embedding intelligence into mobile systems already familiar to health workers, AIMED makes data-driven public health response practical at the frontline.
